Welcome to the central team of Springwell Lincolnshire. We are a dedicated group of professionals providing cohesive leadership and operational support to our family of alternative academies.

Working in close collaboration with the leadership of each academy, our central team ensures the consistent delivery of our shared vision for exceptional education and pastoral care. From curriculum development and staff training to finance and operations, we provide the foundational support that empowers our academies to focus on what they do best: nurturing and inspiring our students.

Our work is driven by a commitment to Springwell’s core values, ensuring that every student, regardless of their background or challenges, has access to the highest quality of education in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.

Mr J Jeffries

Senior Office Manager

Initially trained as an Early Years teacher, Joe transitioned his focus to the crucial operational management that underpins a successful school environment. He joined Springwell Lincolnshire in August 2016 as PA to the Executive Principal and has steadily progressed within the organisation.

After serving as the Senior Administrator for the Lincoln site, he was appointed Senior Office Manager in November 2021. In this role, Joe holds operational responsibility for the administrative teams across all four schools and provides direct PA support to the Executive Leadership Team

Mrs J Battersby

Pupil-Parent Support Lead

Jayne Battersby Small

Jayne is the Pastoral and Pupil-Parent Support Lead for Springwell Lincolnshire, and has worked for the community of schools since 2019. Jayne’s role is multifaceted providing vital pastoral guidance and building strong, supportive partnerships with families. This involves offering guidance and support to parents and carers, ensuring a cohesive and consistent support system for every child. Jayne is a key figure in the academy’s commitment to the well-being of its students, crucially, she also serves as the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead with responsibility for safeguarding across all schools within Springwell Lincolnshire, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment where every student can thrive.

Mr E Deathridge

Executive Behaviour Lead

Elliott has been a dedicated member of the Springwell Lincolnshire team since 2016. With a background in a special needs school, he was driven by a desire to support young people facing additional barriers to their education.

In his time at Springwell, Elliott has played a key role in helping students engage with their learning and achieve success. His commitment extends beyond his immediate role, as he actively supports other schools within the Springwell Lincolnshire network. Furthering his expertise, Elliott is also a qualified Advanced Team Teach trainer and a certified First Aid trainer, enhancing the safety and specialist support available to both students and staff.

Outside of his professional life, Elliott is a keen sportsman and enjoys playing for a local football team.

Data/Exams Manager & Data Protection Lead

Hannah joined Springwell Lincolnshire in 2024 after working at a mainstream secondary school as an exams officer. Hannah is a vital member of our central team, responsible for maintaining the integrity, security, and smooth operation of our core information systems. This role underpins our strategic approach to school improvement and student success.

Mr D Turner

Central Behaviour Lead

Del Turner Small

Del has worked for Springwell Lincolnshire since 2018. In that time; Del has developed his craft to support the most vulnerable children in Lincolnshire. As our Central Behaviour Lead, Del works collaboratively with each academy’s leadership team, teachers, and support staff to develop and embed consistent, trauma-informed strategies that help pupils build trust, repair relationships, and develop the skills needed for success. By championing the six principles of nurture, they ensure that our academies are safe bases where students can learn and grow.

Mr A Humphries

NEET Prevention & Careers Officer

Alex Humphries ID Small

Alex has joined Springwell Lincolnshire recently to take up the role of NEET prevention officer after a career working in Lincolnshire’s Children’s services. Alex’s role plays a pivotal role in securing positive, successful futures for our young people. This role is dedicated to ensuring every student has a clear and supported pathway as they transition from our academies into adulthood. Through one-to-one mentoring, impartial advice, and personalised guidance, Alex works closely with students, their families, and a network of external agencies to identify the right post-16 opportunities. This includes navigating college applications, preparing for interviews, and exploring apprenticeships and vocational training.

Outside of Springwell, Alex is a keen sportsman and enjoys football.

Miss D Robinson

Attendance Administrator

The Attendance Administrator is a vital member of our central team, playing a crucial role in the safeguarding and wellbeing of our students. They provide the foundation for our supportive approach by ensuring that every student’s presence and engagement are accurately monitored and understood.

Working with precision and care, Daisy manages all aspects of attendance recording and reporting across our academies. Daisy is a central point of contact for families regarding attendance matters, communicating with the empathy and unconditional positive regard that defines our ethos. More than just a record-keeper, Daisy is a key part of our wider pastoral network. By identifying patterns and promptly communicating concerns, they provide the essential information that enables our pastoral and leadership teams to offer early and effective support to students and families facing barriers to attendance. Daisy’s work ensures that every child is seen, supported, and given the best possible opportunity to succeed in their education.
