Welcome to Springwell Grantham, a specialist academy dedicated to providing a supportive and nurturing learning environment for children and young people aged 4-16. We are a proud member of the Springwell Learning Community Lincolnshire and the wider Wellspring Academy Trust.

At Springwell Grantham, we believe in the power of second chances. Our core mission is to offer a high-quality, bespoke education for students who have, for various reasons, found it challenging to thrive in a mainstream school setting. We are a school built on the principles of trauma-informed practice, unconditional positive regard, and a pervasive culture of nurture and support.

Our dedicated and highly-trained staff are committed to understanding the individual needs of every student. We provide a safe, calm, and welcoming atmosphere where young people can overcome barriers to learning, build their confidence, and achieve their full potential, both academically and personally.

We were delighted to be rated ‘Good’ in our most recent Ofsted inspection, a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire school community.

As a Trauma Informed School, we are recognised for our “warm, caring and safe environment.” Assessors have highlighted our commitment to creating a space where “vulnerable young people with complex needs” are welcomed with “open hearts and genuine delight,” enabling them to build trusting relationships and to learn to value themselves.

Our curriculum is designed to be engaging and flexible, tailored to meet the diverse needs and interests of our students. We focus on developing not only core academic skills but also the social and emotional resilience that will equip our students for successful futures, whether that be a return to mainstream education, moving on to further education, or entering the world of work.
